Beaches

Finding the beach to relax and chill in Phuket that you should be there!

Freedom beach is definitely one of the most beautiful and hidden beaches in Phuket. This beach is the “Pearl of     Phuket” and is surrounded by a tropical jungle with high coconut trees. In fact, it is tucked in an untouched cove even it is not far from Patong beach. Just behind the corner, there is the pristine Karon Noi Beach home of Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort. The water in high season assumes a crystal turquoise color, unique on the whole island. With soft white sand, it seems to be in the Maldives in Phuket!
This very calm and quiet beach is nestled in a hidden bay, far from the street. It seems incredible that such a perfect, beautiful beach exists so close to Patong beach, but it’s true!
The beach is not supervised so be careful and please KEEP THE BEACH CLEAN!

Tri Trang Beach is a quiet, secluded place that’s ideal for dedicated sun-lovers. The 500-meter, north-facing beach is snuggled into the headland just to the south of Patong, making it conveniently close to the popular resort town while still being far enough removed to be a quiet haven of tranquillity. It’s particularly popular with guests at the Marriott Merlin Beach Resort because it’s the nearest available large beach. Unlike other sunbathing spots around Phuket, Tri Trang has a very open feel because there are no beach-side trees offering shade, making it a place for the really dedicated sun worshipers. While you can relax in the shade near the restaurant or at the resort end, most of the beach enjoys direct sunlight.

Patong Beach is the true heart of Phuket, and what makes it so attractive to many, is often what other people hate most about it. Patong is big, bold, crowded, bright, and loud. And yet millions of people flock here every year like Patong Beach is the true heart of Phuket, and what makes it so attractive to many, is often what other people hate most about it. Kata Beach, on the west coast of Phuket island, is one of the most visited beaches after Patong Beach. Kata enjoys a superb sandy bay with an incredibly blue sea and an iconic island standing in the middle of the sea, making excellent sunset photos. The town stretches for 2 kilometers along the back road, but keep in mind that because Club Med resort occupies 90% of the 1.5 kilometer beachfront, the large majority of the restaurants, hotels, and shops are not on the beach, but on that second road. While it can be bustling in high season, Kata is less crowded than Patong and still offers a good and growing choice of dining venues, shopping, nightlife, and hotels. This beach is also known to be a great family destination.

Karon Beach in Phuket is one of the longest beaches on the island, spanning 5 km of fine white sand overlooking the Andaman Sea. The northern end of the beach is usually deserted, making it an excellent spot for those who want the beach to themselves. The southern end, close to Kata, tends to be busier but it isn’t that hard to find a nice spot for yourself. There are very few waves during the high season (November–April), resulting in crystal-clear waters. However, Karon Beach experiences dangerous swells and riptides in the southwest monsoon season (May–October). While there are lifeguards on the beach, it’s best to take note of warning flags and be very careful.
